Skype in Fedora 64-bit

Skype only provides a 32-bit package, so to run it in Fedora you'll need to install a load of 32-bit libraries. I did this in Fedora 13, but it should be pretty much the same in earlier (and later) versions.

Install the required libraries and their dependencies:

# yum install qt.i686 qt-x11.i686 libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 pulseaudio-libs.i686 pulseaudio-libs-glib2.i686 alsa-plugins-pulseaudio.i686

Download the latest Fedora RPM from Skype's Linux download page and install it:

# rpm -Uvh skype-2.1.0.81-fc10.i586.rpm

Done!
